Are you travelling to Austria with an electric car? Then it is useful to know in advance where you can charge. For an up‑to‑date overview of all charging stations in Austrian towns and along your route, we refer you to the Chargemap website.
Here you can easily find charging points along motorways as well as near your holiday destination, ensuring that you travel well prepared.
Important information when charging abroad
Please note that charging abroad often takes place via a roaming partner when you use your own charging card. This may mean that:
- the rates differ (and may sometimes be higher) than what you are used to
- billing may occur per kWh, per minute, or a combination of both
- additional fees, such as an idle fee, may be charged if your car remains connected after charging is complete
We recommend checking with your own provider in advance to see which costs apply abroad. This way, you avoid surprises and can travel with peace of mind.
